From Banking to Early Education: A Journey Fueled by Passion

Hello! I’m Dorothy—a Canadian educator living in Hong Kong with a background as unexpected as it is valuable. After earning my business degree in Australia and building a career in banking, I realized something: while finance was stimulating, my true passion had always been teaching and nurturing growth. So, I took a leap—traded spreadsheets for storybooks, went back to school for my teaching certification, and never looked back.

For over 10 years, I’ve been an early education teacher and coordinator at an international school, designing playful, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity. My business background gives me a unique edge—I thrive on structure, problem-solving, and creating systems that make learning both effective and joyful.

Outside the classroom, I’m an explorer at heart. Whether I’m wakeboarding in Hong Kong, rock climbing, skiing, or wandering through Switzerland, Croatia, Canada, USA or Turkey, I’m always chasing new perspectives and experiences. I believe learning doesn’t stop at the school gate—it lives in every adventure, every connection, every moment of wonder.
